vimocana-unravel
When I started teaching I noticed that it was difficult to remember the names of people to the point that it was becoming a problem. This recognition started a process of letting go of the belief that I could not remember names and observing what was happening internally around this tendency. After years of practice, I was able to unravel this tendency to the point that it is no longer a problem.
This may seem like something minor but it has been a skill that has helped me tremendously as I tackled more complex beliefs. This is a process of unraveling. The gentle disentangling of something that does not serve us so we can be free. That is the meaning of vimocana.
The freedom that comes with this unraveling is not a pushing away or getting rid of these things. It is understanding them deeply and in doing so we consciously make more space for them. The moment they arise, we recognize them as an old friend we know how to relate to.
Let's meet all these friends in our practice this week and through movement, create a different relationship with them.
As always, breathe easy.
